Les commentaires (en anglais) d'Antoine Albeau et de Micah Buzianis sur la nouvelle JP Formula 2010 :
:arrow: http://www.jp-australia.com/2010/index.php?id=477" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Antoine Albeau FRA 192 and Micah Buzianis USA 34 have been involved in the development of the JP Formula 100. Just recently they finally got the chance to ride the first production boards. Here is what they had to say.

Antoine :

”The first time I went on the production formula board I was really impressed, as it felt even better than the last custom board we tried with Micah, I was on the NP 12,0 RSR and the wind was 10 to 12 kts, not too strong, the board was feeling really light under the feet going upwind, in the downwind I was super comfortable in the double chicken strap.

The board jibes very nice - even in light wind which is the most difficult to do in light wind. The shape of the deck feels good under the feet and that is what you need to be efficient on a course.

I will spend quite a bit of time on the board in the next few weeks to get ready for the Formula worlds – I look forward to that and it will be good racing with the guys.

Best regards, A2”

Micah :

“I finally had my first ride on the final production JP Formula board and I am extremely impressed, exactly what we were going for! I was on a 10.7 and was moderately powered outside Kanaha on Maui. The board felt amazing, it did pretty much everything you would ask a Formula board to do perfectly. I was sailing against Antoine on one of the earlier protos and was absolutely killing him on all angles.

The board planed up very easily just a few pumps and it was going without having to go off the wind, this is very good for starting and coming out of tacks to keep the angle upwind. It is also really easy and comfortable to ride, upwind and downwind through the chop is very smooth, never an issue with getting out of control or sticking the nose. The new deck shape contributes a lot to this as well, the curve is very comfortable under the feet and allows full control over the board.

The transitions were also very easy especially tacking, it is so stable in the tack and the nose of the board comes through the wind so quickly and easily almost by itself. This may sound funny but speed in transitions, especially tacks, are so important on the race course and this board to me really stands out.

I can't wait to get this into a real racing situation, I think this board is gong to dominate the Formula racing scene this coming season!!!”

Cheers, Micah, USA 34"
